TEXT MESSAGING POLICY CHANGES
EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY
Wireless carriers now require that a double opt-in occur before any text messages are sent through the BREEZE CHMS platform.
Tanner's Church Database Management System - BREEZE ChMS has rolled out policy changes to their text messaging services due to security regulations and mandatory compliance changes.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
This means you must indicate your written or verbal desire to receive text messages, as well as reply to the automated text message with "YES" before you can continue to receive text messages from Tanner.
BENEFITS OF RECEIVING TEXT MESSAGES
Text messages from Tanner provide important information immediately to Tanner's membership body. These massages may include, but are not limited to, MEETING & MEETING REMINDER NOTICES and/or CANCELATIONS, BEREAVEMENT NOTICES, UPCOMING EVENT NOTICES, EVENT PROGRAM CHANGES (location, start time, cancelations, etc.).
HOW TO OPT-IN OR OPT-OUT
WHO SHOULD OPT-IN
If you are CLERGY (the presiding elder, pastor, an associate minister, licentiate, evangelist, or student in the ministry), an OFFICER of the Church, a ministry or organization LEADER, or are a MEMBER of any Bible study, group, or organization, etc.
OPTIONAL OPT-IN
Members who are not any of the above.
REQUIRED DOUBLE OPT-IN METHOD
To Opt-In or Opt-Out of text messaging, you must complete BOTH of the following methods.
- RESPOND | REPLY to text message with "YES" to Opt-In or "STOP" to Opt-Out. . . AND
- GIVE US YOUR WRITTEN CONSENT by selection one of the options below.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T RESPOND TO TEXT MESSAGE
Failure to respond to the text message will REMOVE you from the text messaging group.
WRITTEN APPROVAL TO RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM TANNER
To ensure that we have the double opt-in verification, TEXT MESSAGE REPLY and WRITTEN CONSENT, please indicate below your OPT-IN | OPT-OUT OPTION to receive text messages from Tanner | BREEZE ChMS.
YES!
I would like to receive text messages from Tanner through BREEZE ChMS.
NO!
At this time I do not want to receive text messages from Tanner through BREEZE ChMS.
I understand that I can change either option at anytime by sending an email to tcamec@tannerchapel.org or calling the church's administrative office (602) 253-8426, to change my OPT-IN | OPT-OUT CHOICE.
