Welcome to Tanner’s Membership Orientation Classes!
Joining the Historic Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church family is an exciting journey of faith, fellowship, and growth. Tanner’s Membership Orientation Series is designed to provide new members with an understanding of what it means to be a member of our church and the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Each series consists of four (4) informative classes. Attendance at all four (4) classes in the first available series after joining is required for new members to qualify for Full Church Membership. Upon successful completion, members are formally “read” into Full Church Membership during a special service.
Classes meet in the Sanctuary from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, with a slightly adjusted time of 8:45 AM on the 1st Sunday. Every new member will receive a free personal copy of the Tanner Membership Handbook as part of this journey.
We look forward to walking this path of faith with you and welcoming you fully into our Tanner family!
HELP SPREAD HOLIDAY JOY with Tanner's WMS Angel Tree Program
Tanner’s Women's Missionary Society is partnering with the Angel Tree Program to bring Christmas cheer to children in need.
We’re seeking your support through monetary donations or gift cards to Walmart or Target.
DONATE to "WMS ANGEL TREE PROJECT."
Your generous contributions will help us purchase gifts for children in the Angel Tree Program and our Tanner family.
Together, we can make this Christmas season a little brighter for the young hearts in our community. Thank you for your kindness and support!

MEN OF TANNER Christmas Prayer Breakfast
You’re invited to the Men of Tanner Christmas Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, December 21st at 8:00 AM at the Hilton Phoenix Airport, located at 2435 South 47th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034.
This year’s theme, “Brothers Present and Accounted for through Word, Works, and Worship,” sets the tone for a morning of inspiration, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. We are honored to have Art Hamilton, Founder of the Art Hamilton Group and former member of the Arizona House of Representatives, as our keynote speaker.
This cherished annual event, sponsored by the Men of Tanner, is open to everyone. Join us as we celebrate the season and reflect on the importance of faith, service, and brotherhood. Don’t miss this uplifting morning—come be a part of something special!
NEW MEMBERS Coffee & Tea Hour with the Pastor
We are excited to invite all new members of Tanner Chapel to a special Coffee & Tea Hour with the Pastor on Sunday, December 29th at 8:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
This gathering is a wonderful opportunity for new members to meet and connect with their assigned Care Leaders, as well as other members of our church family. Together, we’ll share in fellowship, build community, and deepen our sense of belonging.
Join us for a warm and welcoming morning of connection and conversation. We can’t wait to see you there!
