SONS OF ALLEN BIBLE STUDY
AND HE BROUGHT HIM TO JESUS . . .
4o Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus. | John 1:40-42 (NIV)
Tanner's MEN OF TANNER MINISTRY proudly participates in the esteemed Sons of Allen Men's Ministry, the premier men’s ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Sons of Allen Men's Ministry is dedicated to ministering to men in a systematic and impactful way, aiming to foster transformation within the A.M.E. churches and their surrounding communities. This ministry aspires to bring African American men into a life-changing relationship with the Lord, echoing the biblical example of Andrew who led his brother, Peter, to Jesus (John 1:40-42).
At Tanner, the Men of Tanner Ministry actively supports and embodies the efforts of the Connectional A.M.E. Church through its involvement in this significant ministry. Each month, the Men of Tanner Ministry joins other Sons of Allen Bible study groups throughout the connection. These sessions are vital in nurturing spiritual growth, offering insights, and fostering a supportive network among men across the denomination. Through these gatherings, members explore scriptural teachings, share experiences, and support one another in their spiritual and personal journeys.
By aligning with the Sons of Allen, the church and the Men of Tanner Ministry not only upholds its commitment to spiritual development but also strengthens its role in the wider A.M.E. community, striving to transform lives through faith and fellowship.
