CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRY
The Congregational Care Ministry provides essential support to our church family through times of sorrow, sickness, and setbacks, encompassing services like hospital and home visits, and guidance for grieving members. Our ministry focuses on offering care, concern, and prayer for individuals at different stages of life, actively engaging the congregation in mutual service and community-building. We strive to meet the diverse needs of our members, nurturing their spiritual, physical, emotional, and relational well-being as part of living faithfully within the Body of Christ. Our services include baptisms, weddings, funerals, communion, hospital, nursing homes and assisted living visitations, and prayer.

EXPERIENCE TANNER MINISTRY
The Experience Tanner Ministry (ETM) is a creative multimedia ministry that encompasses Tanner’s website, social media, graphic designs, print media, visual worship service media presentations, photography, and videography through the use of technology and digital media. Through the ministry of ETM, members, visitors, and the community are visually and socially engaged in the life and work of Historic Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church. ETM provides creative ways to lead them to Christ, and encourage their souls while on their Christian journey. It is also ETM’s aim to add to the building of God’s kingdom through the various forms of technology.

The Family & Mental Health Counseling Ministry is dedicated to fostering resilience and providing support for families, couples, and individuals facing crises, life issues, or mental health challenges through faith-based counseling services. FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY
Tanner's Food Pantry, in partnership with Manna - A Ministry of Hope, offers essential support to those in our community facing food insecurity or being unhoused. We distribute grocery bags of various food items to families and individuals once a month on 2nd Sundays. The contents of these bags vary, depending on the availability of food items each month. This ministry is committed to providing consistent, reliable aid to those in need, helping to alleviate the challenges associated with food scarcity.

The Golden Care Ministry is committed to enhancing the lives of seniors with disabilities by providing support that conveys respect and care. The Greeters and Hospitality Ministries at "The Diamond in the Desert" play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all who attend our services and events. Our greeters are the first to meet attendees at the door, offering a warm smile and the love of Christ to make everyone feel part of our church family. They provide essential information, answer questions, and help maintain the welcoming personality of our church.
Additionally, the Hospitality Ministry supports the Pastor in hosting special conferences, meetings, and church events. This team handles setup, decorations, registrations, and food arrangements, ensuring each event runs smoothly and reflects our church's values. Together, these ministries work to eliminate fear and encourage connection, making our church a true home for all members and visitors.
HEALTH & WELLNESS MINISTRY
The Health & Wellness Ministry is dedicated to promoting physical, mental, and spiritual wholeness within the church and surrounding community. This ministry serves individuals, families, laypersons, and clergy by offering resources, training, and support through seminars, workshops, health fairs, and health screenings.
Our focus includes good nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and wellness education. The mission of this ministry is to help people recognize and address their health needs, encouraging them to take personal responsibility for improving and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
Additionally, the Health & Wellness Ministry provides a team of medical professionals to assist during worship services, special church events, and conferences, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry is grounded in the scripture, “My house will be called a house of prayer…” (Matthew 21:13). Our vision and mission are to exalt God through prayer and intercession, train and instruct believers in effective prayer, and foster a lifestyle of prayer within our congregation.
Each Wednesday morning at 4:45am, and every Friday evening at 6:30pm, we are in Spirit-led prayer and intercession, for individuals, families, state and government officials, the church, and the world.
Additionally, we strive to equip intercessors to pray effectively for healing, deliverance, and restoration, meeting the needs of our congregation through the power of prayer. By encouraging and equipping believers, we seek to lead our church into deeper unity and spiritual growth through a committed prayer life.

LATINO MINISTRY
The Latino Ministry is a dynamic spiritual home dedicated to reaching out to the communities around us with the Good News of Jesus Christ and His redemptive power. This ministry is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where our Latino community can connect, grow, and deepen their faith.
There are Sunday morning worship services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 10am. These services are conducted entirely in Spanish, allowing for a culturally resonant worship experience that speaks directly to the hearts of our congregants.
In addition to our bi-monthly services, this ministry also holds Bible study every Thursday at 11am in Spanish and 7pm in English. These sessions provide a deeper dive into the scriptures, encouraging thoughtful discussion and personal growth in understanding God’s word.

MEN OF TANNER MINISTRY
The Men of Tanner Ministry is dedicated to enriching the lives of its members through activities and events that cater to their spiritual, social, and personal growth. Our mission is to lead men to Christ, disciple them towards spiritual maturity, and develop them into leaders within their spheres of influence.
We aim to spread and celebrate the word of God among brothers, encouraging men to embody Christian ideals through right actions, responsibility, and the fulfillment of their duties. By providing fraternal support, we help men navigate the unique challenges faced by fathers, husbands, and community members in the modern world.
The ministry organizes various programs and events that promote bonding, outreach, and personal development.

The Music Ministry aims to create an atmosphere that glorifies God, edifies the body of Christ, unifies the congregation, and fosters an authentic connection with God. Our primary focus is to offer music and singing for the glory of God, ensuring that it leads our thoughts towards Him and evokes a sense of awe and wonder in His presence.
In line with biblical traditions, our music and singing commemorates, consecrates, coronates, dedicates, and celebrates the Lord's works and provision. Singers and musicians are called to rejoice in the Lord, and everyone is encouraged to make a joyful noise unto Him. Through our ministry of music and song, we strive to uplift the congregation and honor God.

SOUND ROOM MINISTRY
The Sound Room Ministry provides audio engineering and recording for church worship services, concerts, special events, meetings, funerals, and conferences. Our mission is to provide a pleasing audio experience for all these occasions and to record and archive Sunday worship services and special events on CDs. These recordings ensure that these cherished moments are preserved and accessible in the church archives and are available for sale at $15 each.
